About me

Nikita Patel (she/her)

Hi, I'm Nikita, a qualified massage therapist dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming, and inclusive space where everyone can feel comfortable, respected, and cared for.

I am passionate about promoting holistic wellbeing, providing a high standard of care, and continually expanding my skills and knowledge. I believe that effective massage is never a one-size-fits-all treatment. Every person is unique, which is why I tailor each session to your individual needs, goals, and comfort levels, drawing on my qualifications and experience to create the most beneficial treatment for you.

After growing up in Yorkshire, I began studying massage therapies in Leeds before going on to specialise in Sports Massage and Lymphatic Drainage, continuing my development as a therapist and deepening my understanding of the body and its ability to heal, recover, and thrive.

As someone with a love of movement and sport, I have experienced first-hand the benefits that massage can bring. This has inspired me to help others discover how therapeutic touch can support their health, wellbeing, recovery, and quality of life.

The connection between mind and body is something I find endlessly fascinating. Research continues to show how deeply intertwined our physical and mental wellbeing are, and I believe massage can be a powerful tool in supporting both. Whether you're seeking relief from muscular tension, recovery from physical activity, stress reduction, relaxation, or simply a moment to reconnect with yourself, my goal is to help you feel at ease in both body and mind.

My practice is founded on kindness, respect, and a completely judgement-free approach. I welcome people from all backgrounds and walks of life, and I am proud to provide a safe, affirming environment where trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse clients are warmly welcomed and respected.

Communication is an important part of my practice, and I am always happy to adapt pressure, answer questions, and make adjustments throughout your treatment. Your comfort, autonomy, and boundaries will always be respected, ensuring you feel supported and able to get the most from every session.

Together, we'll create a treatment that supports your wellbeing and leaves you feeling refreshed, balanced, and empowered.

My Room at Blue Frog Therapies

Soft lighting, natural wood and calming colours, the room is designed to enable and encourage each person to let go and unwind.

I use heated beds, essential oils and soft music with deep relaxation in mind.

Security and assurance are priority too, with door access for clients only.  The door has a keypad with a 4 digit code that will automatically unlock the door and you can simply push to enter the space, reassured you will not be disturbed during your visit.  Once you have entered, the door will automatically lock again. Your reminder email and texts will have your code so it is always close at hand.

Parking

Parking is available at three nearby car parks, a few minutes walk from the therapy rooms. Of the three (Marygate, Clarence Street, and Bootham Row), Marygate is the largest with a reduced evening rate and pay on exit so staying longer than intended couldn’t be more simple. There is also a place to lock cycles in Millers Yard
